About NIFT-TEA
NIFT-TEA was born out of the educational vision of Tirupur Exporters to create innovative initiative to extend all-encompassing education & intensive training in the niche arena of Knitwear. Established in 1997 with the support from the Ministry of SSI & ARI, Government of India and ICICI, NIFT-TEA continues to be the first and only one of its kinds not just in India, but across the world as well.
NIFT-TEA is an exclusive institute dedicated to fashion and knitwear industry offering various Diploma, Under Graduate and Post Graduate Degree Programmes in textile, fashion, garment & Management field.
NIFT-TEA Knitwear Fashion Institute do not presently have any collaboration with NIFT, New Delhi.
Programmes at NIFT-TEA are well recognized by fashion and garment industries for the placement. We take pride to inform that our students who have passed out earlier are well placed in leading companies all over India.

NIFT-TEA is conveniently situated between TEKIC (Tirupur Export Knitwear Industrial Complex) and TAHDCO (Tamilnadu Adidravidar Housing Development Corporation). With more than 400 factories within the premises, these large knitwear industrial complexes offer students extensive opportunities for internships and therefore bring alive the concept of 'earn-while-learn'. Various wet-processing units also operate on the periphery. Hence, when students step out of the institute, they have a promising career waiting literally at the doorstep.
NIFT-TEA is recognized throughout the country as a ‘CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE' for its pioneering efforts in the field of Knitwear and Fashion Education. Complying with international standards of Quality Management Systems, the Institute has been conferred with the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
