Introduction
This cell was established in our college with the objective of empowering the OBC communities within our institution. The college demonstrates a particular focus on providing financial assistance to students from these communities through government agencies and other funding sources. The cell remains actively involved in resolving the diverse issues faced by OBC students. Additionally, it promotes the participation of students in career orientation programs, which serve to enhance their abilities and enable them to make informed decisions regarding their future career paths.
Objectives
- To provide information and raise awareness about the different scholarship programs offered by both the state and central government.
- To offer counseling and guidance to OBC students on various issues, assisting them in effectively managing their academic activities.
- To ensure that OBC students are well-informed about government directives concerning education, training, and employment opportunities specifically tailored for the OBC community.
Functions of Committee
- This Cell dedicated to offers guidance on academic, social, economic, and other relevant issues to promote equality, social justice, and confidence in facing the challenges of the world with dignity.
- To Provide essential information on reservation policies, educational benefits such as scholarships, fellowships, awards, and funds offered by the State/Central government is a key function of the Cell. By sharing links to relevant government websites, particularly aimed at students, stakeholders can access further details on these opportunities.
- To ensure the effective implementation of reservation policies for admissions, the Cell focuses on organizing remedial classes, short-term computer courses, and both formal and informal interactive sessions with students to enhance their educational experience.
- To address student grievances, an online Grievance Redressal form is available, with a physical copy accessible at the OBC-Cell desk. Furthermore, a Suggestion Box has been placed near the OBC-Cell to provide students with a platform to voice their concerns and suggestions.
