OBJECTIVES OF ICC:
The objectives of the Internal Complaint Committee are as follows;
- To comply the Sexual Harassment of Women at college (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute.
- To develop a policy against sexual harassment of women at the Institute and to ensure its implementation through proper reporting of the complaints and their follow-up procedures.
- To conduct orientation programs on sensitizing sexual harassment.
- To evolve a suitable mechanism for the prevention and Redressal of sexual harassment cases and other acts of gender based violence at the Institute.
- To sustain the commitment of the Institute to provide an environment free of gender based discrimination.
Functions of ICC
- To create and ensure sexual harassment free environment.
- To create awareness about issues of gender and sexuality and to conduct periodical programmes on women empowerment.
- To provide for safe, accessible mechanism for registering complaints.
