Dr. N. Gokarneshan obtained his degree in textile engineering from karnatak University in 1985 with first class. He then got his PG degree in textile technology from Bangalore University in 1988 with first class. He got his doctoral degree in textile technology from Anna University, Chennai in 2008. He has served the textile industry for over a period of 8 years in the areas of R&D and quality assurance. He has a teaching experience of around 15 years and is currently holding the position as principal of NIFT TEA College of knit wear fashion, Tirupur since February 2009. He has authored 4 text books at national level and an international monograph. He has around 60 technical and research papers to his credit in various leading national and international journals. Also he has received a number of recognitions and awards for his contributions in teaching. He has been the reviewer for some of the leading scientific journals in the world.
