Profile
Ms. G.Vasumathi, has been associated with NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion, Tirupur since June 01, 2015. Assistant Professor in the Department of Costume Design & Fashion has focused the students with an enthusiastic way like smart learning, games, peer seminar and make them interest to learn the class. Past 2 years (2016-2018) she served as a CDF department head in NIFT-TEA. She has been involved with teaching Fashion designing and technical papers at Under Graduate & Post Graduate Level for the past 10 years 1 Month since 2008. To build a coaching for framework of success and she is playing an effective team player.
She guided many M.Sc projects in the field of garment designing, fashion accessory, natural dyeing, Printing.
She did M.Phil in Costume Design & Fashion year of 2013. She has Post Graduation in M.Sc Costume Design & Fashion in Parks College, in the year of 2008. She has completed Yoga for Human Excellence (Diploma & MA). She also has completed Hand Embroidery in Apparel Export Promotion Council, Govt. of India and Machine Embroidery in M.S India Silk, Govt. of India.
Attended many Faculty Development Program sponsored by Aii India Council for Technical Education.
She has attended a number of National and International Conferences where she has presented research papers in the area of Technical Textile, Finishing and Designing.
Her areas of interest are Dress Designing, Painting, Craftwork and Computer Designing.
She is well experienced in Terracotta, silk thread jeweler making, Traditional Tanjore Painting, Mural Works, Toy making and all type of paintings. She is doing paintings and embroidery on order basis. Her practical approach towards the management make satisfied.
Universities and colleges around the state recognized her as question paper setter for various designing and technical papers. She is also a UG Board of Studies member in bharathiar University.
Prior to which she has served as NSS Officer and Yoga club member in Park’s College. Still she has handling Yoga classes for the SKY yoga Trust.
She is a member of “Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneur” and the assessor of the enterprise in all over TamilNadu.
