The language department offers French as first language under Part–I and English under Part–II.  Realizing the importance of communication in the global market scenario, the department imparts writing and speaking skills in the above languages. Experienced teachers train the students in developing communicative abilities among the students by making them participate in group discussion and mock interview sessions. As a result many of the alumni of our college have got placed in many of the MNC’s. The department is headed by an experienced teacher with more than four decades of collegiate service.

The main objective of developing communicative skills both in English and French is to make the students employable in the knitwear industry. In addition to this, the department takes all initiative to remove the inherent fear in the minds of students, when they use a Foreign Language. It also aims to instill confidence in the young minds and face the foreign buyers boldly and interact with them.

Many of our students have got placed in many of the foreign companies as buyers and merchandisers and handle the business easily. NIFT-TEA students are considered to be an asset to the industries wherever they are employed.

Facilities are given to students those who want to study Spanish & German during their spare time. The knowledge of the above languages has helped many a students to achieve their goals. The state-of-the-art communication lab is on the anvil.
